There is a failing fiber feed in to the Physiology building that needs emergency repair.
This is a continuation of the 7/29 installation window. During a brief (~15 minute) time during this window, users adding their CSU email to a mobile device may have an error as the new server will respond to such requests before it is finalized. This is a known issue with Microsoft.
Wireless Controllers and APs will reboot to apply latest firmware version.
The switches located in network closet 116 will be combined and the link upgraded to 10 Gig. All South first and second network connections will go down within the maintenance window as the switch gear is replaced.
On Tuesday, August 5th at 10pm mst - August 6th 2am mst, the ITSM team will be deploying an update to Freshservice. This update will include changes to Service Offerings and Workflow. During the upgrade, users may encounter issues submitting, routing, assigning, and resolving tickets. Following the upgrade, users will need to update user created dashboards, ticket lists and reports in accordance with the new service offerings. The old service offering field will still be available for reporting on old data. ARBL MDF will be replaced. All network connections to ARBL, Biomass Trailer, Utility Services Building, Deer Facility, Surgical Annex, Fisheries Lab, B.W. Pickett Equine Center, Atkins Arena, Legends of Ranching Arena, Custodial Office, Canine Facility, & Radiation Waste will go down within the maintenance window as the switch gear is replaced.
The latest Banner Financial Aid Upgrades will be applied to production: Banner FA 9.3.51.1 and 8.52.3. Banner Admin Pages and Banner Access Management will be unavailable during this time.

ODS Production will be unavailable from Saturday, July 19 at 10:00 a.m. through Sunday, July 20 at 2:00 p.m. This downtime is necessary to restage and reload the ODS following the Banner Quarterly Patch. The process takes approximately 20 hours to complete.
Ellucian Banner Quarterly 2025 Q1 Upgrades will be applied. Banner 8 will be turned off which impacts Web Tailor. During the upgrade, RAMweb, ARIESweb, PAWS, Admin Pages, and other Banner-related services will be unavailable.
BDMSPROD will be unavailable on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM while we run a script to update over 500,000 records in the OTGMGR.AE_DT509 table.

CSU Early Childhood Center MDF Rm 13 Switch Maintenance
Oracle will be performing maintenance on the Exadata Cloud at Customer hardware. There will be rolling restarts during this maintenance so while the database will remain available, any applications that are not compatible with rolling restarts will need to be shut down including AppMan. Preparations will begin at 8 am, and the maintenance will start at 9 am. Performance may be degraded while the maintenance is in process.
The Pueblo Campus core network will be upgraded over the course of the weekend. All servers and services will be down during the maintenance period and there will be no network connectivity on campus.
The connection to the core of our network will be upgraded and a distribution switch installed. All network connections within Occupational Therapy & Occupational Therapy Annex will go down within the maintenance window as the switch gear is replaced and connections moved.
Banner Financial Aid 8.52.1/9.3.51 updates will be applied to production. Banner Admin Pages will be unavailable during this time. OTS will be applied to Banner Document Management (BDM). Banner Document Management (BDM) will be unavailable during this time.
On Saturday May 31st, from 8am to 12pm Mountain Time, IAM will be performing a version update on the CSU System identity repository midPoint, which is used to manage NetID accounts. During this time, the CSU System Self Service website will be down for maintenance and any actions such as NetID activations, email alias updates, and password changes performed through the site will be unavailable to prevent data loss.
We will be performing a minor version upgrade. A few hours of downtime is expected. During this window Service Account management functionality through NetID Self-Service will be unavailable. If you experience any issues after the maintenance window, please contact IAM at iamhelp@colostate.edu.
Due to a delay in license renewal from our vendor, vCenter access for Campus Cloud is currently non-functional. VM are running, and DoIT support team can manage VM's on the back end. Vendor asserts that Licenses should be resolved within a day or two.
<b>Filebound Service Disruption</b> A possible service disruption with Filebound is under investigation. The Division of IT is working to identify the root cause.
Tuesday, May 27, 7:00 am Mountain Time, we will be updating the CSU System Identity Provider to Shibboleth Version 5. This will be implemented via a DNS cutover in coordination with the DoIT MSOPS team. Before the cutover, we will have updated the TTL to 5 minutes. Additional communications have been sent to the CSU IT Community. This cutover is expected to result in zero downtime. However, if you are actively completing an authentication at the time your computer recognizes the new IdP's IP address, you or your users may experience a single login interruption in the form of a stale request. This is normal and would be concentrated to users completing authentications between 7:00-7:10am MT on Tuesday Morning. If any login issues are experienced, support should be sought out as normal through https://csusystem.freshservice.com or by emailing ithelp@colostate.edu. Login support requests should always include: • NetID of affected user • Timestamp of attempted login • URL of website trying to access • Screenshot of error message(s)
Some users have reported that they are receiving an error message when opening Discussion Boards in Blackboard. The error message appears to be occurring intermittently, so sometimes the discussion boards will load, and sometimes users will receive an error message. We are aware of the issue and are working with Blackboard Support to determine the cause and solution.
This work will not impact the CSU network, only the FCCN. PRPA needs to perform maintenance on the fiber path between the Fort Collins Police Services building and MCR Loveland. There will be no ring redundancy within the maintenance window as the fiber is cut, but all sites will remain up as their traffic traverses the other end of the path.
The Division of IT has scheduled maintenance for Oracle Exadata Databases. We will be performing scheduled maintenance on the production Oracle Exadata system to apply the latest OS upgrade release to the Exadata production virtual machines. The OS patches will be applied in a rolling fashion, so if your applications are load-balanced you will not lose connectivity during OS patching. AppMan production will need to be shut down during the entire process.
